A Riverview woman has taken to Twitter as a way to help pay for her Aug. 13 wedding.
Yolanda Kelsey, 37, started her Twitter page @BuckforaBride as away to offset some of the exorbitant costs of having a wedding, reports the St. Pete Times. Her budget started at $5,000 and has already reached $12,000.
She says she met her future husband 4 years ago at a night club and after a divorce and a series of accidental run-in’s, the two eventually hit it off. He proposed to her in 2009.
After saving and cutting back at home, Kelsey realized a wedding was an expensive event that may require some ingenuity and financial help.
That is why she started her Twitter campaign.
To date, she has earned $13 as well as many offers for free services.
Her bio states:
I am a creative bride-to-be that started the $1 campaign for wedding day bliss.
It sounds like she has a long way to go, but it is a creative way to get there
